I have a lovely ink-drawn picture of birds on a wire all ready to be scanned for the illustration friday ‘simple theme’, and then my bastardly scanner decides it’s lights out. To be fair, she has been serving me well since 2002, so I guess a new one is in order anyhow.

I start a new job next week, which will be just in time for me to get over this cold I’m nursing. Camper hates it when people publicly announce their illnesses, so that one is for you, my sweet.

The new job will be awesome, a good move in line with my New Years Rezzys and all. Also, my next post will be word-free and all about the image, thanks to my as-yet-to-be-purchased Epson. But this one is word-y and getting word-y-er. The fabulous Chie Harashima of Tokyo arrives this evening and we’ll be showing her some San Francisco sights. Any suggestions?
