continuing on with a snake theme, or perhaps signaling the fall equinox this is a post I put up on craigslist last week:

We found a lovely snake – about 3.5 feet long and slim, slinking up the stairs where sanchez and liberty streets meet. we didnt want to leave him/her there, so we called animal control and they now have the serpent. If this is your animal please call them to describe and claim your pet.

It was a lovely serpent, and I hope it found it’s original owner or a new home. A friend of mine tells me that seeing a white snake [not the band!] is an exceptionally good omen. I hope she is correct.
